Timetastic alternative

A Timetastic alternativefor engineering teams that just need to see who's out.

Timetastic is built for HR: every employee requests leave and a manager approves it. If you only need to see who's away, who's on call and whether the release date is safe, Forgot does that with a calendar you keep yourself, for one payment.

One-time payment, no subscription. 20 of 20 left at $9, then $19.

forgot.dev/app

You wanted a calendar. You got a leave approval system.

With an HR leave tool, every engineer gets an account and files requests. You approve them, chase the people who never signed up, and pay for each person every month.

And it still doesn't know about the on-call rotation, the payments migration or Friday's release.

How it works

Keep it yourself, share it with a link.

Type one person per line, with their team and city, or paste rows from a spreadsheet. Nobody gets an invite or an account.

Is it a fit? Honest answer.

Forgot is a good fit if

  • You lead an engineering team of 5 to 50 people
  • You want vacations, on-call and project work next to your release dates
  • You don't want your team to install or sign up for anything
  • You'd rather pay once than per person every month

Stick with Timetastic if

  • You need leave requests and approvals
  • You track allowances, accruals or payroll
  • You need Slack or Google Calendar sync today

Questions

Can I move my data over from Timetastic?

There's no importer. Paste your people in from a spreadsheet (one per line, with team and city), then drag in the time off that's coming up. The next few months are what you plan around.

Can my team still request time off?

No. Forgot has no requests or approvals. People tell you the way they already do, in standup or on Slack, and you drag it in. If HR needs a formal request trail, keep an HR tool for that and use Forgot for planning.

What does it cost for a 25-person team?

The same as for 5 people. One lifetime license covers you, the person who edits. Your team views through a link and costs nothing. Calendars hold up to 50 people each, and you can make as many as you want.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. Sign in with your email and you get the full editor for 14 days, no card needed. After that your calendars become view-only, with all your data kept, until you buy. If you buy and change your mind, email hello@forgot.dev within 14 days for a full refund.
