For team leads

Your auto-reply covers your inbox. Who's covering the team?

Auto-replies tell the people emailing you. Your team lead finds out who's out from the bounce-backs. Forgot puts everyone's time off, holidays and release dates on one calendar, so a clash shows up while there's still time to plan around it.

  • Everyone's time off on one board, set up in five minutes
  • A warning when too many people are out at once
  • Your team never signs up. You keep the calendar.

Free for 14 days, no card. Then $9 once, no subscription. Not your call? Send it to your team lead.

One message, the whole break.

  1. 01

A date, not "after the holidays"

"Back on January 4" beats "back in the new year": nobody has to guess which week.

  2. 02

    "Happy holidays" travels well

It's warm, and it fits clients and colleagues whatever they celebrate. Save "Merry Christmas" for the people you know.

  3. 03

Say so if the office is closed

If your whole company shuts down, people stop waiting for anyone to reply. Mention who's on call, if anyone.

Questions

What should a holiday out of office message say?

That you're out for the holidays, the exact day you're back, and who to contact for anything urgent. A short holiday wish is a nice way to end it.

Should I say Merry Christmas or Happy holidays?

For a message that goes to everyone, "Happy holidays" is the safe choice. The generator uses it, and you can change it in your own copy.

When should I turn on my holiday out-of-office?

On your last afternoon before the break, with an end time on the morning you're back (Monday, January 4, if you're off the usual days).
