What the policy says.

  • Hybrid profile (most staff): about 50% in person, averaged over the year and driven by client needs.
  • Client sites count as in-person time, both firm-wide and under the 2026 Tax rule.
  • Tax: from July 1, 2026, at least 3 days a week at a PwC office or client site; the virtual profile ends and virtual Tax staff move to hybrid.
  • The Tax email gave apprenticeship and team collaboration as reasons and described no tracking or penalties.
  • 2023 rules were framed as 'expectations and not mandates': virtual staff in person up to 3 days a month, all staff at 2+ in-office events a quarter.
  • No US badge or location tracking has been reported.
  • Non-US: PwC UK has required 3 days a week (60%) with monthly location data since January 2025.
