Free fake spreadsheet
A fake spreadsheet that works while you don't.
An FY27 budget forecast in a Google Sheets lookalike. The cursor walks to a cell, types a new number, presses Enter, and the totals, the change column and the chart all catch up. Go full screen and it keeps going.
Esc gets you out. The mouse hides when you stop moving it. Not affiliated with Google or Microsoft.
Looks like the real thing at a glance.
It types
Numbers appear one digit at a time in the cell and the formula bar, then Enter moves down a row.
It recalculates
Row totals, column totals, the change from last year and the chart all update, with a soft green flash.
It thinks
Every so often it clicks a total and reads the formula for a while, like someone checking their work.
It looks right
The menus, the toolbar, the Share button, sheet tabs at the bottom and Sum in the corner.
The classic look-busy screen.
A spreadsheet is the most believable screen in any office: nobody wants to read someone else's budget. Leave this up when you step away and it keeps typing, so the screen never sits still.
It's a prop, too: a working spreadsheet for a video or a slide, without real numbers anyone could screenshot. Every number on it is made up.

Is there a fake spreadsheet I can leave on my screen?
This one. Press Go full screen and the Google Sheets lookalike keeps editing a budget forecast on its own until you press Esc.
Is this Google Sheets?
No. It's a lookalike drawn in your browser and isn't made by or affiliated with Google. Nothing is saved to your Drive.
Does it change my real calendar or status?
No. It's a picture drawn in your browser. Nothing connects to Google, Outlook, Teams or Slack, nobody gets an invite, and your real free/busy stays exactly as it was. If it's the Teams dot you're after, see the guide to keeping your Teams status green.
How do I get out of full screen?
Press Esc. On Windows, if you also pressed F11 for the browser's own full screen, press F11 again.
Can I save it as a picture?
Yes. Save as image downloads a PNG of exactly what's on the screen, ready for a meme, a slide or a group chat. It works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark on the screen. It's made by Forgot, a team calendar for vacations and release dates, as a free tool.
