Free fake work screens
A fake work screen that looks busy for you.
A calendar with no free time, a spreadsheet that keeps typing, a video call where someone's always talking, or a Windows update that never ends. Pick one, go full screen, and the screen looks busy until you press Esc.
Esc gets you out. The mouse hides when you stop moving it. Not affiliated with Google or Microsoft.
About 43 hours of meetings this week.
Four screens that look like work.
Busy calendar
Google Calendar or Outlook, a week of back-to-back meetings, reminders popping up.
Spreadsheet
A Google Sheets budget that types numbers, recalculates and updates its chart.
Video call
Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, with people taking turns talking.
Windows update
Spinning dots and a percentage that stalls, or stuck at 99% forever.
Why a fake work screen.
A busy screen says “working” without a word. Leave one up when you step away from your desk in an open office or a café, and nobody reads your messages over your shoulder. Put one on the big screen in a video, a play or a classroom and it looks like a real workday.
And sometimes it's a joke: the calendar with no free time is the screenshot everyone has felt. Save it as an image and send it to the group chat.
What it won't do (and what will).
A web page can't change your status in Teams or Slack, add meetings to your real calendar, or keep your computer awake. If the green dot is what you need, the guide to keeping your Teams status green covers what Teams actually checks, what works, and what IT can see.

What is a fake work screen?
A screen that looks like you're in the middle of work: a packed calendar, a spreadsheet being edited, a video call or a system update. These run in your browser, fill the screen, and stop when you press Esc.
How do I look busy at work?
On screen, put up something that's obviously in progress and dull to read: a spreadsheet that keeps typing or a calendar full of meetings. For your status, keep the real app open and active, or set a status message; the Teams status guide covers the options.
Does it change my real calendar or status?
No. It's a picture drawn in your browser. Nothing connects to Google, Outlook, Teams or Slack, nobody gets an invite, and your real free/busy stays exactly as it was. If it's the Teams dot you're after, see the guide to keeping your Teams status green.
How do I get out of full screen?
Press Esc. On Windows, if you also pressed F11 for the browser's own full screen, press F11 again.
Can I save it as a picture?
Yes. Save as image downloads a PNG of exactly what's on the screen, ready for a meme, a slide or a group chat. It works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark on the screen. It's made by Forgot, a team calendar for vacations and release dates, as a free tool.
