How much they talk

Looks like the real thing from across the room.

  • The meeting bar

Timer and meeting name on the left, Chat, People, Raise, React, View and More, then camera, mic, Share and the red Leave.

  • Initials on circles

With cameras off, Teams shows each person's initials on a pastel circle. So does this, or a drawn face as their profile picture.

  • The purple ring

Teams outlines the speaker's tile and rings their picture. The ring moves as people take turns.

  • Leave works

Click Leave (or press Esc) and you're back here, like hanging up.

It won't change your Teams status.

This is a picture of a Teams meeting, not a Teams meeting. Your status in the real Teams app doesn't change, and nobody at work sees anything new. If the green dot is what you're worried about, read the guide to keeping your Teams status green first: it covers what Teams actually looks at, what works and what IT can see.

Made by Forgot, for the real meetings too.

Forgot is a team calendar that shows everyone's vacations, public holidays and on-call on one board, and warns you when someone's away on a release date. So the real meetings land on days people are actually in.

Questions

Can I fake being in a Teams meeting?

On your screen, yes: this page looks like a Teams call and fills the screen. In Teams itself, no: your status only shows In a meeting when you're in a real one or your calendar has one booked.

Is this made by Microsoft?

No. It's a lookalike drawn in your browser and isn't made by or affiliated with Microsoft. Nothing connects to Teams.

Does anyone see me or hear me?

No. It's a web page that draws a call on your screen. It never connects to Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, never turns on your camera or microphone, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Will it change my Teams or Slack status?

No. Your real status comes from the real app, and a web page can't touch it. If you want to know what does keep Teams green (and what doesn't), there's a guide for that linked below.

Can I make the people talk?

They take turns already: whoever is talking gets the outline, and the turns follow the pace you pick, from one person presenting to a lively debate. Turn on Muffled voices and you'll also hear quiet, wordless talking and room tone, the way a call sounds from headphones on the desk.

Does it work on a phone?

It plays on any phone, but iPhones don't let web pages go truly full screen, so the browser bar stays visible. It looks most real on a laptop or a monitor.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark on the call. It's made by Forgot, a team calendar for vacations and release dates, as a free tool.
