Questions
What do you write to a boss who is leaving?
Thank them for something specific (their trust, their feedback, how they backed the team), say what you'll take with you, and wish them well. Keep it sincere and short.
How do I say goodbye to my manager when I leave?

Is it OK to be funny in a farewell to a boss?
If that's your relationship, yes: a joke about 1:1 snacks or PTO approvals is fine. Pair it with one sincere line so it doesn't read as only a joke.
Can the whole team sign the card?
