About Thanksgiving.

Canadian Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October, about six weeks before American Thanksgiving. It has been a fixed October Monday since 1957, giving thanks for the harvest.

It's a statutory holiday in most of Canada. In the Atlantic provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, it isn't, though many employers give it.
