• Covers salaried employees at all job levels at TMNA and TFS, with a few unnamed roles excluded.
• Also applies to temporary and contingent staff and to workers who had moved away from company locations.
• The policy is paused for four weeklong periods each year, including the weeks around July Fourth and Labor Day.
• The memo warned that not complying could lead to 'termination of employment'.
• Toyota denied the policy is meant to reduce headcount, citing efficiency, mentoring and culture.
• Factory workers were already on site five or more days a week.
