The Labor Code only guarantees five days of service incentive leave a year once you've worked a year, and unused days can be converted to cash. Most office employers give more, usually as separate vacation and sick leave.
There are two kinds of holidays. Regular holidays, like Rizal Day and Independence Day, are paid even if you don't work. Special non-working days, like Ninoy Aquino Day, All Saints' Day and Christmas Eve, close most offices but follow "no work, no pay" unless your company pays them. The planner counts both as days off. The President proclaims the dates each year and the Eid holidays are announced shortly before, so check the proclamation if a date looks off.

How do I make the most of my time off in 2027?
Spend vacation days on the workdays between a holiday and a weekend, so each one unlocks days you'd have off anyway. What's the difference between a regular holiday and a special non-working day?
On a regular holiday you're paid even if you don't work, and 200% if you do. On a special non-working day the rule is no work, no pay unless your employer's policy says otherwise, and 130% if you work.
Are the holiday dates final?
Not until the President's proclamation for the year. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are declared closer to the date, and extra special days are sometimes added. Click a date on the calendar to add or remove a day.
What is a bridge day?
A workday stuck between a public holiday and a weekend. Take it off and one vacation day gets you four days off in a row.
How many days off can I get with 15 vacation days?
In 2027, around the 21 holidays most people in the Philippines get off: 10 vacation days become 42 days off, 15 vacation days become 55 days off, 20 vacation days become 68 days off. The exact number depends on the kind of breaks you pick and the holidays your employer gives.
What if my company's holidays are different?
