What the policy says.

• Michael Dell's memo said Dell was 'retiring the hybrid policy.'
• Remote setups are no longer offered for new hires.
• Global sales teams moved to 5 days a week earlier, effective Sept 30, 2024.
• 2024: staff had to choose hybrid (about 39 office days a quarter) or remote. Remote workers became ineligible for promotion, and badge tracking was introduced.
• Dec 2025: North American commercial sales staff in Round Rock, Nashville and Oklahoma City must be onsite 5 days with a minimum of 8 hours a day, after checks found staff badging in and leaving early. Childcare does not qualify as an exception.

2. February 2024

   Employees must pick hybrid or remote; remote staff are not eligible for promotion.

3. September 2024

   Global sales told to be onsite 5 days a week from Sept 30, 2024.

4. January 2025

   Michael Dell memo sets 5 days a week for staff within an hour of an office, from Mar 3.

5. March 3, 2025

   Five-day policy takes effect.

6. December 2025

   NA commercial sales must work 5 days with an 8-hour daily minimum.
